Meet the Doctors

Lee
Dr. Ron Fulton
Dr. Fulton graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1978 with a DMD Degree.

He opened his first practice in Vernon and was the Chairperson of Hospital Dental Services for the Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

He furthered his studies at UBC in the mid 80's in Peridontal training and received his Diploma. Completing the exams for the BC College of Dental Sergeons and gaining membership in the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

He opened his doors to Periodontics in 1986, originally located in Coquitlam and moved the practice to Langley, British Columbia.

He is a part-time Clinical Instructor in both the undrgraduate and graduate periodontal programs at UBC.

He holds memberships in the American and Canadian Academy of Periodontology, Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and the BC Society of Periodontists.

He lectures extensively and is part of the study club educational programs in BC and the Yukon.


LeeDr. Victor Mak
Dr. Victor Mak is a board certified specialist in Canada and the USA. He is licensed and limits his practice to periodontics in BC and Washington State. He graduated from the 3 year Periodontics program from the University of Washington, during which he completed a Masters of Dental Science. In his research, he studied the use of miniscrew implants to assist orthodontic treatment. Prior to that, he was in general practice for 9 years. He graduated from Dentistry at the University of Alberta in 1995.

Dr. Mak provides service in all areas of periodontics, surgical and non-surgical. The procedures include soft tissue grafting, esthetic crown lengthening, osseous surgery and regeneration, impacted teeth exposure, surgical implant placement, and pre-implant site development, like sinus augmentation and guided bone regeneration. Through the CDSBC, he is certified to perform IV conscious sedation on patients. With his cross training with the Graduate Prosthodontics department at the University of Washington, he is comfortable in treatment planning with general dentists on complex restorative cases.

It is his mission to provide the best dental care and healthcare to his patients. He is especially passionate in assisting his patients to quit smoking, which has detrimental effects on the treatment of periodontitis.

At home, Dr. Mak enjoys spending his time with his family. His wife, Helen, is a family physician in White Rock, BC.
